Land Scapes is the most recent body of my work. Although it starts from the idea of landscape, it is shaped through movement rather than depiction. Working in acrylic on canvas, I process the flow, direction, and expansion of water into painterly gestures, allowing movement itself to define the composition. The paintings retain characteristics of abstract painting, but underneath runs a sense of liquid motion, as if a current had just passed and left the surface vibrating.
